Justine Saunders

Hello! My name is Justine Saunders, and I am a 5th grade teacher at Naranca Elementary. This is my second year teaching at Naranca, and I love being a mustang! Prior to teaching, I was a dependency attorney for almost five years. While I loved being in the courtroom, my heart and passion is teaching the children in the classroom and having them teach me! I am grateful to be part of the Cajon Valley Union School District, as I grew up in El Cajon and attended Madison Elementary.

This year, my students are part of the “University of 5th Grade” where students are introduced to the idea of higher education and its connection to the World of Work. I share my own experiences with my students, in which I received my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology at Loyola Marymount University, my Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law, and my Multiple Subject teaching credential from National University. I encourage my students to work hard, develop good study habits, and build positive relationships on their path of achieving their own goals. I believe in my students, and I encourage them to believe in themselves!

Outside of the classroom, you will find me with my husband and two young daughters at Sea World, the beach, the San Diego Zoo, and boating! I also enjoy volunteering as a member of the Junior League of San Diego.

Go Mustangs!
